About Me

I have loved the Rockies since 1991, the year they first started getting their minor league system set up.

I grew up in Denver loving the Broncos and Nuggets. I was also a die-hard Yankees fan, since my dad grew up there. I had my heart broken a few times when teams like the A's and Giants flirted with Denver about bringing a team there. Finally, when expansion rolled around, my baseball dreams came true! It took me about thirty seconds to throw out my allegiance to the Yankees, and throw it wholeheartedly to the new team in my town.

Here's the thing about the World Series. I first got into sports in 1976-1977, when the Broncos went to their first Super Bowl. It was impossible not to get caught up in the passion that was flowing through the city during that time. Now, my son is nine - which is about the same age I was then. I am really hoping he'll get caught up in it like I did the Broncos. Going to a World Series game would definitely cement that passion.
