The Rox are the girl

Growing up in the 1980's in Kansas City I was obviously a Royals fan. As a young boy I had the good fortune to root for one of the most exciting teams in MLB (a team that had direction and the support of brilliant management). I also had the good fortune to go to one of the '85 World Series games. I didn't know it at the time (I was 8), but that was a pretty big deal. Unfortunately, it was the last baseball playoff game I attended until October 6, 2007, when I saw the Rox sweep the Phils in the NLDS.

I love the Rox because they remind me of the '85 Royals and everything that is good and right about baseball. They're a TEAM. I live in Denver now, and although I still follow the Royals, I've adopted the Rox as my new club.
